How to Set Password on Asus ZenFone 5/6


To set a password on your Asus ZenFone 5/6 phone, you can make reference to the following steps.

Step 1: Open Settings.

Step 2: Find and click Lock screen.

Step 3: Choose Screen lock to move on.

Step 4: Select Password from the items offered.

Step 5: Type at least 4 characters to be the password and choose Continue.

Tip: There must be at least one letter in the code.

Step 6: Re-type the code and tap OK to bring the setting into effect.

    Hi so I just bought a new zenfone 5 and I put a screenlock on it but completely forgot my password and I don't have a google or android backup thing what do I do? I'm royally screwed!!

      The following 3 ways are for your reference:

      1. Turn off your phone, keep pressing Power button+Volume Down button to enter recovery mode, choose "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition", and then select "reboot system now".

      2. Root your phone with a root tool.

      3. Turn to the Asus phone service center for help.

      Is the locked app a built-in app or a manually-added one? If it is the former, you can try to restore your phone to its factory settings. In detail, turn off the phone, hold down Power button+Volume Down button to access recovery mode, go to "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition", and then select "reboot system now". If it is the latter, you'd better go to the phone service center to ask for more specialized advice.

    I want to change my app lock password... It's built it app...i remember my old password but didn't find any option to change the password..

      If you don't want to change the password of your built-in app through resetting your phone, just keep its old password.

    I am having problems to pair devices with my Zenphone Bluetooth because I have no ideia what PIN code should be used.

    Hi anyone have ideal how to disable the screenlock password. Where to found the setting? I do at Lock Screen but failed. The phone keep request password to unlock the screen. Thanks. BT
